In the morning Dr. Allen & I later joined by Hal – skinned out a red colobus shot by Dr. Shattuck last night It was a rather long job to clean out the feet etc but we got thru early enough for me to go down town before lunch; and get some pictures of spinning. I also came across a lady braiding the hair of another damsel who reclined on the porch with her head in her friends lap. Later I got some pictures of winding the spun wool into balls. It is staked out in a skein about 15 ft long and then wound on sticks.

The spinning <Drawing of spindle> is done with spindles which are spin by rolling them on the thigh. However no looms were going so I came back only partially satisfied. Later in the afternoon I got some pictures of close ups at the market to more or less complete my last saturdays work but as it’s such a fight they are probably only somebodys blurred head at 2 ft. In the evening I got some of my outfit together in preparation for a trip to the French border with Drs Strong & Shattuck – No developing.
