Fri Sept 9th – In the morning I spent most of my time doing odd jobs such as tin shades for alcohol lamps or metal triangles to heat flasks on. All in all I was quite proud of my ingenuity. I later went out and shot a bush shrike which I skinned our before lunch with some difficulty as it was beginning the moult and the feathers flew easily. After lunch I went down to the village but none of the looms were in action & nobody was spinning – so back again for more medical. In the evening I had the pleasure of throwing 2 of Dr. Allens films out the window while dumping a can thought to be empty. But if did no damage so that aside from the scare – and chagrin – no harm was done.
