Thur Sept 16th

A day of recuperation. In the first place I loafed – just sort of sat around and moved from chair to chair. Then I skinned a woodpecker Dr. Allen short which took a fair amount of time as the head must be split and then sewed again. Still it came out fairly well and will be presentable. I mean identifiable. I also checked over my photographic outfit and found it all present. In the afternoon I decided to take some movies in the rice fields but as luck would have it – when I got there the sun was going behind dark clouds. There were no huge flocks of birds, there was no amazon with slug shot, and all in all it was very quite and dull. In fact it was a complete washout.

Then back T; an evening of developing – the usual 200 ft of movies and some 2 doz 4 x 5s.
