                  Mon Sept 12th. On again – on again. We got under way at 720 with fresh porters. For a while it showered but

Notes – Dr. Bonet when asked to sit down in the launch going up the du said “no I am an excited man I can’t sit down.” And in the evening we kidded him about an alcoholic nephritis when he told us of an attack by paralysis he had in Madagascar.

 

Tues Mon – Bequaert came skinned 2 birds in pm – cuckoo weaver bird

Wed Tue – hunted all morning Bush shrike in PM shot Developed

Thur Wed – shot cuckoo and pigeons – skinned in PM Developed

Fri Thur – skinned hawk in AM. Developed

Sun – clothes arrived – shot chop – Developed.

Mon – got small birds for allen.

Tues – others went off – collected

Wed – wento Memmehs town

 

Wed – unboxed chemicals –

Thur – Packed and re packed –

went to Bussells for dinner

15 Fri  Packed in AM. – Went down town and called on farmer Bouet

17 Sat. – Packed in AM. – congotown in PM.  – dinner at Hines.

11 Sun – photos of cassava – developed Hines called farmer for sup

19 Mon – some printing and rest until noon - . Kru town

20 Tues. – to plantation in AM. – Picture ride till 4 –

thur – In A.M. went over to village- shot birds on way back and skinned them till lunch. I nap till 3 – skinned birdsHarold got till about 500 puttered around and mixed

Fri – Got up at 700 worked around camp till about 1000 and took some camp pictures and chased cuckoo. after lunch rolled up films and shot targets.

Sat. Worked around camp.
